Federal investments in infrastructure projects are improving communities around the country. Numerous government incentives are available for construction projects, including grants, tax credits, and rebates.
The three major initiatives are:
Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides investments in many areas, including roads and bridges; public transit; clean water infrastructure; affordable, high-speed internet; upgrading the power grid; and increasing the use of clean energy and electric vehicles (including manufacturing of batteries and a national network of EV chargers).
CHIPS and Science Act strengthens American manufacturing, supply chains, and national security, and invests in research and development, science and technology, and the workforce of the future.
Inflation Reduction Act gives businesses an incentive to pay prevailing wages, have workforce development programs, and hire registered apprentices to make sure there is a diverse pool of skilled trades for clean energy jobs.

Benefits of using our contractors
We can provide developers, owners, general contractors, signatories and non-signatories with:
Quality Work
Our skilled trades know how to get the job done right the first time. They’ll make sure your projects are completed on time and on budget. We can also help with reporting requirements and other compliance-related tasks.
Diverse Workforce
IUPAT works with local community groups to recruit economically-disadvantaged individuals and those underrepresented in the industry, including women, people of color, and veterans. This includes people with experience and those looking to start a new career.
Registered Apprenticeship Programs
Whether right out of school or ready for a career change, apprentices are paid while they learn. Apprenticeships include classroom instruction and structured on-the-job training from experienced professionals who make sure apprentices are taught industry best practices.
Prevailing Wages
Financial incentives are designed to connect workforce training dollars to quality jobs that exceed the local prevailing wage, including basic benefits such as paid leave, health insurance, and retirement/savings plan.
Wraparound Support
In addition to prevailing wages and basic benefits, workers may receive comprehensive support that includes childcare, transportation, language support, high-speed internet, mentoring, and career counseling to help develop an inclusive workforce.
